Problem Note 48170: SAS® Enterprise Guide® tasks do not support in-database processing for tables in libraries assigned using the metadata LIBNAME engine

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Tasks in SAS Enterprise Guide do not support in-database processing for tables in a library that has been assigned using the metadata LIBNAME engine. The reason is that SAS Enterprise Guide creates a view when it executes tasks against the tables, which means that the query is not passed down to the database.

As a workaround, you can do one of the following:

  • Use custom code instead of an SAS Enterprise Guide task.
  • Use a SAS/ACCESS engine, instead of the metadata LIBNAME engine, to assign the library.
